This is the Port Alberni.  A small village in the middle of the island.

The Alberni water way is the first place to launch a boat for access to 

Vancouver's west coast.  Ucluelet is approx. 40 miles west.

Marge and I stayed in a small cabin on the water.  Fully self contained with the

most beautiful views we've ever had.  This is definitely the highlight of the trip.

Our last stay was in Campbell River.  This city is toward the north end of the

island on the interior East Coast.
